China says 2010 pollution goal met
China has met its 2010 target to cut emissions and is on the way to meeting its energy efficiency goal.
China last week acknowledged last week that it was emitting most of the climate change, even more than United States. China's efforts (what effort?) enabled savings of 490 million tonnes of coal and stopped  carbon dioxide emissions of 1.13 billion tonnes. The emissions (from where? Is it China?) has fallen by ten percent. China wanted aims to reduce energy consumption by 20% by 2005 and by 40-45% by 2020. China, however repeatedly refused to agree to firm emission cuts (why?).
