[Commented] Article Summary 2

Summary
Twenty-eight-year-old Mohammed Hussein, the leader of his gang, attacked Rashvin Ravindran together with his gang with a knife. (its better to give details of the gang at the first line, like how many members are there: 13 as you mentioned towards the end of the summary) The director of the assault, Hussein, attacked Rashvin after a member of his group accused Rashvin of calling his friend a "dog". They atttacked him (attacked who? better to mention the name Rashvin here as it is a new sentence) before he could reply (explain/clarify might be a better word). Rashvin was so badly injured that he had to be sent to a hospital. The gang was equipped with knives and a knuckle duster. The 13 youths, aged between 14 and 21, were charged with the crime.
Besides these (please explain what you meant by "these"), Hussein was caught once with a sickle and a flick knife in his flat.
For these crimes, Hussein could have been (wrong use of tense: future perfect tense or future tense?) jailed up to 10 years with caning.
